GNSS - Ground Network Scheduling System), a world leader in the development of image processing technologies for flat-panel monitors, TVs and other consumer display products, today announced that it has introduced the newest member of the "Oak" family of controllers, the FLI5962, to support multi-function LCD monitors (MFMs) and entry-level to mid-range LCD TVs with PC and HDTV connectivity. The controller solution is being publicly demonstrated at the 2006 International CES in Las Vegas, Nevada.


Supporting applications with resolutions up to WUXGA (1920x1200), the FLI5962 features DCDi(R) by Faroudja video processing and advanced color management technologies: Adaptive Contrast and Control (ACC) and Active Color Management (ACM-3D(TM)) to provide LCD TVs and MFMs with vibrant and lifelike image quality.

"The Oak family of controllers has been successfully adopted in a large number of customer applications and we are pleased to extend this product line with the FLI5962, which features further enhancements and higher levels of integration for cost-effective multi-function monitor products," said Andre Bouwer, Genesis Microchip's director of Marketing, LCD Monitor Products.

The FLI5962 offers all of the features of the FLI5961 plus additional industry-leading enhancements including:
